Computer graphics offers methods and techniques for generating and manipulating images on a computer.

The main branches of computer graphics are:

1. Generative computer graphics
2. Image processing
3. Image analysis

Even though the subject is computer graphics application, still the students should learn the basic in computer graphics. CGA focuses only in the different application for implementation of computer graphics or shall we say tools in order to generate a computer graphics. But, how are we going to generate a precise computer graphics if we don’t know what is computer graphics? That is the main question for the topic CGA, but as we implement CG in different application we need also to teach the concept of computer graphics. Even though one semester is not enough, it’s still better than they create something with knowing what it is.

It’s now the beginning of the enrollment and lots students go to school to evaluate for their major course to get. We have also lots of full-time teachers that are new. I was tracking down students who enroll in multimedia course because I want to know their capabilities as BS in Information Technology Major in Multimedia. I have also borrowed different books for the introduction of multimedia which is computer graphics. It’s not an easy subject because it needs lots of attention with a certain expertise in programming and mathematics.

At my level of expertise in computer graphics, maybe I can easily adopt the nature because I already experience certain activity while I am in college. But, I really don’t know with the students if they can survive with the subject. Maybe I should be strict and more focus in the subject to deliver it more clearly. I hope they will not quit while they are studying multimedia. Because, it will the stepping stone for them to become expert programmers and graphics designers.

To all the students welcome to my world and you are going to live with it within a certain period of time. See you in the beginning of class and good luck.

This coming June 8, 2009 will be the opening of the class. It will be another school year for the students and teachers. Time for the first year students to build-up their career so that they will know what major they are going to take. But, for those third year students its better to study more and have more focus in their corresponding major. There major are not easy and it needs lots of attention especially their major subjects.
